Business owner and life coach Anna Walker dreamed of becoming a hair stylist and salon owner at an early age. Her Initial training began with every doll in the toy chest. Anna’s passion for the beauty industry led to her attending technical school as she simultaneously completed during her high school education.
Her tumultuous childhood brought many challenges. She witnessed abusive behavior between her parents which ultimately led to her mothers death.
As she got older her dream of becoming a salon owner had shifted. However, by a chain of unforeseen events in 2009 Anna opened the doors to her own business. Since then she has been voted the best colorist and hairstylist in Richmond, Virginia for 2013.
In this episode Anna speaks on the importance of telling your personal story. She shared her heart wrenching story of watching her mother being abused. She also talks about how to build your clientele and tell how she secured an investor to help start her own business.
